What Saathik is

Saathik is your own AI assistant that speaks your language and teaches you a new one. You give it a name, a voice and a language; you talk to it out loud; it remembers you. Its flagship is a spoken language tutor, and it has other skills you can switch on as you need them.

1. Try it free — no sign-up needed

On the home page, pick a name, a voice and a language, then press “Talk to it now” and just speak. Your first conversation costs nothing and needs no account and no card — so you can hear it for yourself before you decide anything.

Saathik installs straight from the browser — nothing to download from a store.

On iPhone (Safari)

1. Open saathik.com in Safari.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open saathik.com in Chrome.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu (top right).
3. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

It now opens full-screen like any other app. Tap once and talk.

4. Money & credits

Saathik is pay-as-you-go. Your balance is in rupees — one credit is one rupee — and every action tells you what it cost. There is no subscription, and your balance never expires.

What things cost

Conversational things — quotes, reminders, memory, your morning note, and your language lessons — don't cost extra beyond the talking time. Showing it a photo or pointing the camera to read something (the “Eyes” skill) is ₹28 a look.

How to top up

1. Go to Pricing on the home page.
2. Pick an amount (from ₹100) and press Top up.
3. Pay securely through Razorpay. Credits are added to your balance immediately.

How to see your balance

Just ask Rocky — “what's my balance?” — or open your Settings or Progress page, where your remaining credits and minutes are shown.

5. Talking to your assistant

• Speak in your language — Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, and more, and mix them mid-sentence. It keeps up.
• It remembers what you tell it, across sessions. Ask it to remember something, or to forget it.
• Show it things — point your camera (the eye button) or send a photo on Telegram, and it tells you what it sees. ₹28 a look.
• Cut in any time — talk over it and it stops and listens.

6. Learn a language — in your mother tongue

This is what Saathik does best: it teaches you a new language out loud, in the language you already speak — no English in between, no typing, no tapping little boxes. You talk, it teaches, it corrects you, and it makes the hard words stick.

Getting started (three steps)

1. Set your mother tongue — you choose it when you first sign up (the setup asks), and you can change it any time in Settings. Everything is then explained in that language — Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and more.
2. Say what you want to learn — just tell Rocky “teach me English” (or Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Sanskrit — any language). It builds a real, structured course, not random phrases.
3. Start talking — Rocky greets you and begins the first lesson. Nothing to prepare.

How a lesson works

• Spoken, not typed — Rocky says a word or sentence, you say it back, and it corrects your pronunciation and grammar the moment you slip, explaining why in your own language.
• Little and often — ten minutes at the counter or on the bus counts as a lesson. Say “let's continue” any time to pick up where you left off.
• It teaches, tests and repeats — every new word goes onto your practice sheet automatically, and the ones you find hard come back on a schedule (spaced repetition) until they stay — the opposite of cramming and forgetting.

Practise between lessons — free

• Practice sheet (/practice) — every word you've learned, with its meaning and its pronunciation written in your own script (for example 你好 → “नी हाओ”). Tap a word to hear it, and download the sheet as a PDF to revise offline.
• Flashcards (/train) — review the words that are due today, tap to hear them, mark what you knew. This is free (no talking time) and it keeps your streak alive.

Track your progress

• Streak & wordbank (/course) — your daily streak, every word you've banked, and how far you are in each course.
• Learn more than one — several languages at once; each keeps its own words, streak and progress and pauses safely when you switch.
• Certificate — finish a level and Rocky gives you one.
• Morning nudge — on a streak, your morning note reminds you to keep it going.

What it costs

A lesson is just your talking time — ₹4 a minute — and there is nothing else to pay to learn. The practice sheet, flashcards and reviews are all free. New here? Add ₹100 to start.

7. Documents & résumé

Tap the paperclip and upload a file — a PDF, a manual, a contract, a scanned page.

• Ask your document — then ask anything about it and Rocky answers only from that document, never guessing. ₹6 a document.
• Rebuild your résumé — upload your CV and Rocky rewrites it into a clean, editable Word file, gives you an honest critique, and sends you the download link (and emails it too). ₹9 a rebuild.

8. The jewellery studio

Saathik has a full jeweller's suite. Show it a piece (attach a photo or point the camera) or just describe one, and it can:

• Render a piece from a description — a photorealistic picture from your words. ₹12
• Enhance a phone snap into a catalogue-ready shot on white, velvet, marble or a lifestyle background. ₹12
• Advert — a marketing image built around your photo for Instagram, WhatsApp or Facebook. ₹12
• Try-on — the piece shown worn on a model. ₹12
• Four angles of a piece for a listing. ₹42
• Read the stones — every stone's type, shape, size, count, carat and grade, plus the metal and karat. ₹28
• BOM sheet (PDF) — a printable bill of materials you can keep or hand to a client. ₹28
• Gold price — today's rate to the gram, and a full costing with making charges. Free

9. Everyday life — location, safety, travel & shopping

Just say these out loud. Answers are spoken; where there's a link to open or book, a tappable pill appears on your screen.

• Where am I / around me — "where am I", "nearest metro / ATM / chemist", "how's traffic to the airport". You can also say "send my location to <a saved contact>". Included.
• Emergency SOS — say "Rocky SOS", or open the menu (☰) and hold "🆘 Emergency SOS". It sends your emergency contact your live location by text, a call and email. ₹12 per alert.
• Watch me — say "watch me for 30 minutes", or menu (☰) → "🕒 Watch me" and pick a time (up to 24 hours, or type exact hours). If you don't tap "I'm safe" before it ends, it alerts your emergency contact with your location. Free to arm.
• Flights — "cheapest flight Mumbai to Dubai on the 27th" for real fares (booking link on screen — you book and pay), or "is EK 501 delayed" for live status, gate and landing time. Included.
• Restaurants — "good restaurants in Bandra" → top-rated places with ratings and a map to see menus, reserve or call. ₹1 a search.
• Hotels — "hotels in Goa" → well-rated hotels with a booking link (live prices and booking on the link; you book and pay). ₹1 a search.
• Shopping — "find the cheapest boAt earbuds" → real prices with buy links. Or "find it on Amazon and message me the links" and Rocky does the legwork in the background and sends them to your Telegram. You buy and pay. ₹1 a search; ₹2 to go fetch the links.
• Astrology — a real Vedic reading from your birth details. ₹15 a reading.
• Think it through — for a hard question, Rocky can reason through it deeply with a stronger model. ₹15.
• Look things up and price gold — included in your talking time.

10. Your settings, memory & progress

• Settings (/settings): rename your assistant, change its voice or language, and see, remove, or erase everything it remembers about you.
• Progress (/course): your learning streak, the skills you've earned, your certificates, and your wordbank.

11. Trouble? Quick fixes

• No voice / it won't start: tap the microphone again, and allow the microphone when asked. On iPhone, make sure the ringer isn't on silent and turn the volume up.
• It sounds cut off at the start: tap the mic once more — the first tap wakes the sound up.
• Payment went through but no credits: email support@saathik.com with your Razorpay transaction ID and we'll fix it fast.
• Can't install on the home screen: use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android (not an in-app browser).
